The complex interaction between the environment and individual organisms is amazing and dizzying to think about. In more complex animals, the brain is the central processing unit where external information is processed, leading to behaviour and ultimately decisions.

There are many interesting questions that can be asked about this topic. Two general questions that I find particularly interesting are: 1. What information influences the organism's behaviour and decision-making? 2. How does this information influence or determine the organism's behaviour and decision-making?

In my bachelor thesis I will work with zebrafish larvae and combine two methods, electrophysiological measurements of the tail and fluorescence microscopic images of the brain, to investigate the effect of certain visual stimuli on their swimming behaviour.
