How do fish make decisions? How much their choices are influenced by the behavior of their peers?

In my postdoc, I will study how fish within a group make decisions. I will look at how they integrate information from the environment with cues from conspecifics by manipulating the behavior of single individuals within a group.

Background/personal interests:
I am a molecular biologist by training, neuroscientist by choice. When I am not in the lab, I enjoy reading, cooking, and taking long walks in the woods.
